Check out these hot eco-friendly bags by SEW. SEW stands for Supporting and Empowering Women. The bags are made from recycled materials, by women in Arusha (Tanzania), who are part of a development initiative run by Melbourne law students Jessie Smith and Denis Cairney. The initiative aims to provide employment, teach valuable business skills and financial independence for HIV+ women in Arusha. The woman are paid a fair wage and all profits are re-invested back into the project. Unfortunately the bags are only available at Readings Carlton in Melbourne at the moment. Hopefully, more stockists will be coming soon.
