Day of the African Child

Today, June 16th marks ‘The Day of the African Child.’

The day is commemorated every year by Member States of the African Union and its Partners in accordance with Resolution CM/Res.1290 (XL).

To celebrate MTV Voices asked young parents in Sierra Leone and Ethiopia to share the dreams they have for their children.

June 16th is the Day of the African Child, and it’s all about making a noise for the 4 million children that die unnecessarily in Africa every year and the 33 million primary school-aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa that don’t get to go school.

The collation of photo responses are heartwarming!
