Save Busuu

Busuu is a language spoken by only 8 people in the entire world. To avoid its extinction, we decided to travel to a remote village in Cameroon to ask its speakers to create a video that will encourage everyone to learn Busuu.

UNESCO classes Busuu as one of the world’s ‘critically endangered’ languages. According to the UNESCO, more than 3000 languages are endangered around the world.

However Ethnologue states that there are 473 endangered languages. According to Ethnologue there are 46 endangered languages in Africa. Some even have less speakers than the Busuu language!

You can help save Busuu language by learning it! To find out more go to savebusuu.com.
