If you want something smooth, soulful and sultry, you can’t pass by Emeli Sandé can you? I heard this song a few months ago on Okay Africa (my trusty Afro-music source) and I have been playing it to death. The song is titled ‘Somebody Else‘ produced by Robert Glasper.
There are a two lines in this song which really resonated with me. That’s partly the reason why I had it on replay. I felt as if Sandé was singing it to me. All the emotion she had singing those two lines was how I was feeling. ‘Moving to a brand new country. Saying goodbye to everyone who loves me‘. Then after that the song just gets a bit depressing, but it’s the vocals and musical arrangement which keeps me in sync.
