Afro-Creative: Samson Soboye

Samson Soboye. Stylist and Creative Director of Soboye. And a fine example of an Afro-creative!

The British-Nigerian studied Fashion Communication and Promotion at Central St Martin’s in London. Post-Uni, Soboye worked at British Vogue opening the doors for a career as a stylist. He has since styled editorials for The Independent, The Guardian, The Saturday Times and more working with photographers such as Peter Zownir and Carlos Lumiere. He has also taught classes at the London College of Fashion, University of East London and Epsom School of Art.

To top that, Soboye has his own lifestyle boutique respectively named Soboye in Shoreditch. Stocked with covetable fashion accessories and well-cut women’s wear as well as contemporary soft-furnishings.

At the moment, Soboye has been transformed into an African inspired pop-up store. With pieces by Anita Quansah London, Nkwo, Eva Sonaike and Ayo Binitie II gracing the space. I would love to check it out.
