Made By Africa is a concept label launched in 2009 aiming to provide an outlet for creative talent in East Africa. Made By Africa teamed up with Tanzanian designer Chichia of Chichia London to create an everyday basics look with a Tanzanian twist titled ‘Chuki Ya Nini Sili Cha Mtu‘. The collection features knitted organic cottons blended with locally made printed fabrics by Kibotrade Textiles Ltd, the first Fair-trade registered textile factory in East Africa.
This collection is quite loose and soft as compared to Chichia‘s other collections. It gives a wearer more opportunity to create their own unique look with a set of abstract pieces!
For every garment sold, $1USD will go towards supporting education for the SOS Children’s Village in Tanzania.
