I was on Net-A-Porter and I saw these hot printed shorts by Tory Burch. They reminded me of old wax print my Mum used to wear sewed in kaba and slit with shoulder designs bigger than her head! I got a bit carried away with the reminiscing and decided to design a moodboard on a few pieces from the 2011 Resort collection by Tory Burch. Style.com says the collection was inspired by Burch’s trip to Rajasthan (India). But I found the quote belows stating that a collection was inspired by African art. I have a feeling she is referring to the 20111 Resort collection. The whole collection doesn’t look completely African. But I think the pieces below, surely do!
The collection has an amazing colour palette. It is bright, colourful and energetic – ready to take the sun on for summer!
