Last week or the week before I was thinking about SUNO NY, so I decided to go on their website. The website was under construction and there was a note stating that it would be relaunching in 2 days. I thought ‘AWESOME’, I will come back in two days and be amazed. Two days passed and I completely forgot. So I went on the website today and saw a online shop section. I thought great I can buy some great pieces now. Just when I was ready to get my credit card, I looked at the price of one piece and I thought ‘Forget that one. Next. Forget that one. Next. Forget that one. Next’. I realised that I would have to forget the WHOLE collection because I don’t have several hundred dollars to just fork out on a SUNO piece. I was quite disappointed. I thought that the whole idea behind the brand promoting ethical fashion and labour in Kenya would somehow translate to affordable pieces. I wasn’t thinking as cheap as ASOS AFRICA, but I thought I could at least purchase something and smile knowing that I didn’t break my bank! Then again, SUNO is absolutely GORGEOUS and I can just imagine the high quality of the pieces, so I guess the prices are alright. It’s just that my wallet is not ready for SUNO just yet!!!
