I was looking at the blog of my exchange University and I noticed that French designer Malika Favre of London-based Airside studio was going to give a talk about her work. Malika is the talented designer behind the visuals for the No. 1 Detective Ladies’ Agency. It’s very unfortunate that I am not in London at the moment. I would have probably drilled her with 101 questions about the illustrations.
There is a great sense of Africanism and quirkism in the illustrations. And that’s the kind of vibe you get when you watch the TV series or read the novels.
