I spotted this interesting necklace on Labels, Love, Loyalty. The necklace is designed by Goodwood NYC which is a hip-hop accessories brand. The necklace is name ‘Chace Infinite Africa Piece’. It is a symbol that promotes both the remembrance of the place that gave birth to mankind, and a reminder that so many people in that continent are still suffering. Influenced by the African medallions that were popular in the mid 80’s- early 90’s, The GoodWood NYC X Chace Infinite – Africa recaptures a time when people were discovering knowledge, and opening their minds. Wake Up!  I have seen heaps of Africa necklaces in my lifetime and never taken serious note of them. But for some reason I am very drawn to this one. I feel as if the necklace is carrying the history of African Art through the imprint of Kente design and the use of beads and wood.
