One of my first posts was about four Aussie-African boys tapping into the Australian hip-hop scene under the name of K1: Konnected As One. Egasm, 2Deep, Glove and B-Wise have now extended their talents beyond the group by pursuing a range of musical projects individually.
B-Wise has just released he first mixtape ‘A WORD TO THE WISE‘ which is available for free download at Mediafire. He describes this mixtape as a product of his style and influences as well as being platform for others to hear Sydney’s up and coming R&B and Hip-Hop acts. His influences include old school Hip-Hop with a touch of ‘new era’ sound and R&B.
2Deep making his mark in the as an events promoter for his company EnvyOz. His company has worked with the likes of Ja Rule. On July 17, EnvyOz will be hosting Scream Under 18s Music Festival featuring international and local acts. Egasm is currently working on a new EP titled ‘The eClipse’ which will be released online in early August. Egasm‘s inspiration for his EP is from classic Hip-hop, New Era and ‘SYD HOP’ – a new genre which he describes as a mixture of Africa and Australia. An array guest appearances from the urban scene include K1, Candy, Vida Sunshyne, Kween G from the Killa Queenz, JD Soul of D.O.M.E, Aregradah, Blaq Berry, and Tane (just to mention a few), will feature on the EP.
Glove has also gone down the solo path. Currently working and helping fresh new talents break their way into the industry.
I think these boys are truly stamping themselves into the Australian hip-hop scene!!! Don’t be surprised if we continue to hear more about them!!!
