afro-creative: Rudi de Wet

 I study Visual Communications at University, but I can’t draw. So I really admire the ability of  illustrators. While researching for the ‘Where Music is Born’ (13/10/2010) post, I was quite interested in finding out more about the illustrator. The illustrations Where Music is Born clip is so intricate, yet flowy and graphical. Clearly not the work of Adobe Illustrator, but purely natural talent.

The illustrative genius of Where Music is Born designer Rudi de Wet. Originally from Cape Town (South Africa),  de Wet currently lives in Melbourne, Australia doing what he does best, illustration, graphics and typograpy. He draws inspiration from Cape Town’s hand-painted typographic signs, African fabrics and decorations.
