I don’t know why I have written about the uber-talented Timomatic. I have been seeing him on Australia’s Got Talent 2011 for the past two weeks or so (because my Mum has become obsessed with it), but for some reason it didn’t click with me to post about him until today when my Mum came home and said we have to vote for ‘Timo! We need to support African people getting themselves out there!’.
I am quite disappointed with myself at the moment. Here is me with a blog aiming at promoting Afro-Aussie talent and when there is someone right under my nose, I don’t even realise!
Tim ‘Timomatic‘ Omaji was born in Nigeria and relocated with his family at a very young age. He began dancing at the age of 11 inspired by Michael Jackson and Hip-Hop. Timomatic worked hard on his talent, which led him to the position of Artistic Director at ‘Kulture Break‘ (a crew based in Canberra) at the age of 17 until he was 20. After spending six months at Uni, he decided to follow his passion and studied Entertainment at JMC Academy. Timomatic first graced Australian TV screens in 2009 as a top 8 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Australia Season II. He then went on to star in FAME the musical until a back injury prevented him from dancing for a period of time. With a spirit of entertainment burning within, he turned to music.
Now Timomatic has returned as an Entertainment Machine making it to the finals of Australia’s Got Talent 2011, with show-stopping musical compilations accompanied with smooth dances moves.
Check out more of Timomatic’s craft on YouTube.
