I made one book and posted it on ‘book it’ (13.11.10), and then I got carried away and made two more books this week. It literally took me one whole day to complete them, but it was very therapeutic. The books will be part of my independent practice for my final assessment. I have always been interested in bookbinding. I have made quite a few books for previous assessments whilst studying in Australia but they didn’t always turn out right. I have always wanted to learn properly how to bookbind, but I never had opportunity. But since the bookbinding workshop, I have realised that I was missing a few key elements when I made those books. Now I have learnt how to do it properly, I have acquired a neat little collection of handmade books!
