They say never judge a book by it’s cover. A metaphor for basically everything. But when it comes to CD covers and promotional material for musicians, that theory flies over my head. I am love with MUSIC ART! I think of the art before I even consider the music, sometimes I forget that the art is for music! Music art the complete package (CD covers, concert posters, and promotional campaigns) used to visually represent and identify the musician/s. It allows an audience to develop a relationship between the audio and visual. So I thought I would share my love of music art with you and start posting some of my favourite pieces of visual identity for African musicians.
