Sydney based Hip Hop group K1 (KonnectedAs1), are an excellent example of African-Australian creativity. Group members 2Deep, B-Wise, Egasm and Young Glove, all met at a young age of 10 within the African-Australian community. As they grew older, their bond grew tighter and they started performing together. The name K1 represents their unity as friends and business partners.
K1 has performed with the likes of Flo Rida, Ja Rule, GZA (Wu Tang), The Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Bone Thugs N Harmony, 2 Face, Kasual, Dj Rectangle, PNC, just to mention a few.
The boys released their first video clip in late 2009. The single titled “Where You Wanna Go” tells a story of international love, with a local experience.
